Hey, I’m the Phantom of Your Momma’s Basement.  I am the ethereal creature that keeps an eye on things around here.

I met “The Jaded Gamer” back in 2009 when he was making YouTube videos.  He was very charismatic and tongue-in-cheek with his delivery, I couldn’t help but listen.  Then in 2012 he straight up bought YourMommasBasement.com from us in an auction. Now, I guess I work for him but he doesn’t make it feel like he’s our boss. He’s more of a peer or even a friend.  Over the years I’ve seen him go through a few hiccups but over the past two years he’s become something of an underground myth.  A polarizing myth.  Sometimes he’s funny.  Sometimes he’s charming. Sometimes he’s vulgar. Sometimes he’s vulnerable. Always, I find him entertaining.  Recently he’s shifted his focus to bringing gamers together and stop the in-fighting.  I believe he could be a solid voice within what he refers to as “Game Nation” and here is why.

Because he’s signed boobs at least twice in his life…

When he texted his mother on New Years Eve about his actions so far…

His observations on rap music….

How he feels about spreading good will during the holiday season…

How to make progress on race relations….

When Nintendo releases the same piece of hardware for the 100th time…

When he can’t even…

He even simplified the idea of “trickle-down” economics with two screenshots.

Sometimes he’s just a snarky asshole though…

He’s even a little inspirational.

He loves Betty White…

When he tells you how you know you’re getting laid…

The observations on language…

Or the fact that he runs the universe according to Facebook

He reviews apps favorably.

Keeping his ego in check.

But still gives his amazing hosts shit over a door.

So that is our case here at YourMommasBasement.com on why you need to follow our fearless leader on Twitter.  He fell in to the leadership role here and he catches a lot of shit online purely trying to entertain people.  He’s just a Teddy Bear but with a sharp tongue in case he has to keep some of you animals at bay.  He’s here to unite gamers and we are glad he is on our team.
