Every month or so EA’s digital game service, Origin, gives you a free game with no strings attached. Well… unless you count signing up for the service and downloading the client an “attached string”. The service is free and usually offers competitive pricing on games… you’d be silly not to have it if you have Steam or Green Man Gaming’s service.
The new game up for offer is Syndicate. A game I’ve never played. I guess now is better than never. Since I’ve never played it, I’ll let a description I can’t verify describe it for you:
“Syndicate is an isometric real-time tactical game from Bullfrog Productions created in 1993. It is the first title in the Syndicate series” […] “Gameplay of Syndicate involves ordering a four-person team of cyborg agents around cities displayed in a fixed-view isometric style, in pursuit of mission goals such as assassinating executives of a rival syndicate, rescuing captured allies, “persuading” civilians and scientists to join the player’s company or simply killing all enemy agents.” -Wikipedia
And gameplay footage…
If this looks up your alley or you want to catch up on your gaming literacy… now is the time!
